Pregnant Christian Dragged around Police Compound

Accused of theft along with a Muslim woman, Farzana Bibi (who is a Christian), was tortured, stripped naked, and then dragged around the police station in Pakistan. Not only did Farzana tell the police that she was pregnant, but the Muslim woman was not treated harshly like the Christian woman. There was also no evidence that Bibi had stolen anything from her wealthy Muslim boss.

Christian Tortured in Pakistan

On June 23, it was reported that a 37 year old man is languishing in a Pakistani jail. This was after his back was broken by police because his father was preaching Christ.

Arshad Masih had been in a hospital – chained to his bed on false robbery
charges – after police torture that began Dec. 28, 2008 left him incapacitated.
He was discharged from General Hospital in Lahore on Saturday (June 20) and
returned to jail despite efforts by the Community Development Initiative (CDI),
a support group that is providing Masih legal assistance.

Pray that justice will be found for this man and also that he will keep a strong testimony before unbelievers. To read the whole article, click here.

Lanlan's Father

Lanlan is a young Chinese girl who will spend this Christmas without her father.
Her dad, Pastor Lou Yuanqi is in the midst of a trial which started just days
ago. This is the fourth time he has been imprisoned for his faith. From
information ChinaAid has received, his sentence will likely be severe.

Lanlan, along with her mother, brother, and sister, wait at home for the verdict.

At sixteen, Lanlan has already payed a price for her faith. Chinese police arrested her and ten other children and kept them outside in the cold, walled-in courtyard of the police station without even a coat to keep them warm.

Pray for Chinese Christians!

The Olympics are racing towards us and the Chinese Christians. Many are suffering while the police are cracking down.

Just on July 2, prominent house church leader, Hua Huiqi and family were thrown out of their apartment. Public Security Bureau (PSB) officers led by Yng Jian smashed through the door and pushed the family, including Hua’s 90 -year-old father, out into the street with their furniture.

The Chinese government has expressed it intentions of detaining Hua and other’s like him until after the Games are done. The government doesn’t want Christians going to the Games because they are supposed “troublemakers”.
