International Day of Prayer

September is almost through and International Day of Prayer (IDOP) is coming fast! The official date is November 14 and on that day, Christians around the world will "remember those in bonds".

According to VOM, IDOP began in 1996 as "a day for intercessory prayer and citizen action on behalf of persecuted Christian communities worldwide." Please spread the word about the International Day of Prayer and consider getting a small group together to pray for persecuted Christians.

Lord willing, I will post some ideas closer to IDOP about what you can do on Nov. 14.

IDOP

IDOP (International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church) is a day of global intercession for persecuted Christians. It is on November 9, which is a Sunday.

The focus this year is on children of the persecuted Church. Why?

1. Christian girls are kidnapped and forced to Islam
2. College students risk expulsion or worse if they profess the Word of God
3. Pastors who give their lives for their faith, leave behind traumatized children
