Iranian Christian Released
Hossein Karimi, age 27, was released on February 25. The Iranian secret police arrested him January 30 and held him for 27 days in an unknown place. Presently, Hossein is waiting to receive a date so he can present his case in court.
Pray that this Christian brother would have peace as he waits to appear in court. Pray also that the Lord will give him the words to speak when presenting his case.

Iranian Christians Held Without Charges
Three Iranian Christians were arrested on January 21. Jamal Ghalishorani and his wife Nadereh Jamali after arresting Hamik Khachikian about half an hour before. Jamal and his wife are converts out of Islam and this is a "crime" (in Muslim eyes) that is punishable with death.
These three arrests are only a few in a large tidal wave of arrests on Christians in Iran. They appear to be apart of a "concerted, nationwide government plan" to put pressure on believers.
Please pray that the believers will be overcomers while going through this pressure.

Update from Iran
Mohsen Namvar was temporarily released from prison on June 26. He was beaten and while detained in prison. After release he was treated for a fever and high blood pressure.
Local Christians believe he was released because the authorities were afraid he would die in prison.

The country of Iran has been in the news much lately, but there has been an untold story until now. The documentary, A Cry From Iran, is the story of Bishop Haik Hovsepian as told by his two sons. He was a husband, father, pastor, musician, follower of Jesus, and martyr.
It is very gripping. You will come away from it challenged and encouraged.
Here's what some are saying about Bishop Hovsepian:
"Had the book of Hebrews been written in our time, he would have been mentioned in there." -Dr. Ravi Zacharias
"He is definitely one of our modern-day heroes of the faith." -Dr. Carl Moeller
